Bridge Data Centres has announced plans to build another new data centre in Malaysia. The new facility will be located in the Kidex Sedenak business park in Sedenak, to the north of Johor, and will reportedly be the largest of its kind in Malaysia.

Sited on around 40 acres of land area, the new campus will span three buildings and have a combined capacity of 100MW. The data centres solutions company said MY06, as it will be known, is on track to open towards the end of 2022 for phase 1. Phase 2 is expected to be completed shortly thereafter.

As the Data Centre Dynamics website points out, the company already has a strong presence in Malaysia. In February Bridge announced plans to develop a new 16MW data centre in Kuala Lumpur. MY03 is scheduled for launch in Q2 2022.

The company has two other data centres in Malaysia, located in the Cyberjaya science park, to the south of Kuala Lumpur, that it acquired in 2018. With a total IT capacity of 20MW, both were acquired from Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), a Malaysian government pension fund, in 2018 and renamed MY01 and MY02.

The company is also developing a 332,500 square metre 20MW data centre in Navi Mumbai, India.

A subsidiary of Chindata Group, Bridge has offices in Singapore, Mumbai, and Kuala Lumpur. It currently operates 300+ MW of IT capacity across China, India and Malaysia.
