Nokia, PLDT partner for enterprise push
- test: test
Nokia and Philippines-based operator PLDT signed a memorandum of understanding to provide 5G services to the latter’s enterprise customers.
Phil Star reported, the companies are seeking to serve clients through enhancing operational efficiency and customer experience in the manufacturing, mining and port sectors.
PLDT SVP and Head of Enterprise, Joseph Ian Gendrano, highlighted how connectivity can expedite the journey to automation for industries.
“This means enhanced capabilities for real-time data analytics, remote monitoring and control of equipment, which are all essential for automating industrial processes and improving operational efficiency,” said Gendrano.
This latest deal is another win for Finnish vendor Nokia in the Philippines. Globe Telecom signed up to acquire Nokia equipment to upgrade its Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) network in several key locations.
